Activating and deactivating cell data input`

If B1 is "NA", A1 must return 0 and be locked, If B1 is blank, A1 must allow data entry. Pls help.

Welcome to our forum!

Unfortunately, Excel isn't designed to work the way you describe. I recommend you use another cell to allow the data entry, e.g. C1. then in cell D1 you can decide if you want the data entry value or zero with a formula like so:

=IF(B1="NA", 0, C1)
