Trouble Adding Connections to a Slicer|Dashboards & Charts|Excel Forum|My Online Training Hub

Hi,

I'm currently trying to create my own project management dashboard but when I try to add more connections to the slicer (Right click -> Report Connections) I get an error message as attached.

What I'm trying to do is have a list of tasks within a project - labelled as "Products" and have subsequent sub-projects - "Gates" next to them. The Slicer I want to create is for the Products and not the gates because the gates all have the same label but it's the product that is relevant. The error message shows when I try to report connections to the first doughnut that shows the days completed vs days remaining.

My current working theory is that it isn't working because there are various dates for the same product so it doesn't know how to show the status which means I'll have to rename my products to include the gates but then I'll have too many buttons for my slicer.

Please let me know if I'm being coherent or if I've miscommunicated something.
