Hello everybody,
I need to sort a pivot table by a specific field ("invoice date"), but I really do not why it seems to be impossible....
I attach some pictures to explain what I mean. Anyway, the cells are formatted as dates

Hi Mark,
PivotTables sort by the first column. If you want to sort by date, put the date field in the first column of the PivotTable row labels.

It doesn't look like you really need a pivot table per se - perhaps you could use Power Query to just group the data and output a table that you can sort the way you want.
