Hi guys,
Since Mynda built this dashboard maybes on for her?
The dashboard Mynda created I often use as a base to test a lot of things because its great however, one thing I have come across recently is, how can I note someone is (for example) working on site every Monday and Friday only, someone else is working every Wednesday and Friday etc etc you get the idea
The document I have attached is the dashboard I am using to test this on.. so, on the tab "Days on Site" you will see examples of 3 people that have set days they will be working on site, that's fine.. I have covered to end 2022. The issue comes when you click on the "Dashboard" tab, the conditional formatting kicks in as it should, but, what I would have expected is that because I am excluding days in the formula in the "Data" tab (Cell f12 gives the example) I would have seen green only on the days that I choose.. the rest white.
bringing this to life Samora is onsite week commencing 22/11/2021 on the 22nd and 26th so the Monday and Friday should be green but the 23rd, 24th and 25th would be white.
Hope you can help with what I am trying to achieve..
I have tried amending the conditional formatting but the green always seems to overwrite anything I do
The people that are noted will be constant until end of 22 (excluding new people or people leaving (or even people changing days) so if i have to remove all conditional formatting for a set range that will be fine.
Many thanks in advance
Lee
Hi Lee,
You can add another criteria to the AND formula for the green conditional format that checks the date and name against the days on site list (which I've rearranged). See file attached.

Hi Mynda,
So sorry for the delay in responding.. hope your weekend was a good one. This solution works perfect, I had to adjust the RC values to match my pivot columns but overall, works a treat..
just curious as to why you use the RC values? that's old school lotus is it not?
thanks again for your help
appreciate it
Glad it helped, Lee. Not sure what you're referring to with the RC values...as opposed to what? The Days on Site data is not formatted in a Table, so there's no structured references to use.

Hi Mynda
I meant the likes of R1C5 for example in the respect of Row 1 Column 5.. I tend to use E1.
Your concatenated cell for example is using the rc reference whereas I would use A2&A3 to give the final detail. So I guess for me, does the RC way you use make the document more efficient? If so I will start using that going forward.
Take care.
Lee
P.s your forum says my timezone is in Australia.. I'm in the UK..
Hi Lee,
Thanks for clarifying. I haven't used any RC references in my formulas (never do), hence my question. I thought you must have been referring to something else.
I think our forum only shows our timezone. It doesn't know what timezone you're in. Sorry about that.
