It is possible that the data segmentation never manifests itself to me, see if you can tell me what is happening, I am doing my first steps, and I cannot put the buttons as your samples, I can pass you the file that I use and you can tell me where the error is ? Thank you, since up to where I have arrived, each graph that I do with the filter we do what we want, but as you indicate it I cannot do it, because the segmenting is inactive.

Hi Miguel,

Welcome to our forum! Your question isn't clear, but I remember it from the Excel Dashboard video. Can you please upload some screenshots that clearly show the problem, of share the Excel file? That way we can see what the problem is and help you further.

I have put 4 images for you to see, that both in the dashboard and in one of the bases, the segmentation part is inactive, I have put it surrounded by a black circle, and the other two are from the dasboard and the base, I hope you understand that, thanks.

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for the images, but they're too small for me to make anything out. Can you please try again and this time don't change the size of the image before you save it.

Thanks,

Mynda

Hi Miguel,

I think I understand that you're not able to insert Slicers for your PivotTables or Pivot Charts. If you go to the Insert tab do you see the options available there?

What if you try a different file with a simple table/PivotTable?

this is the INSERT tab, segmentation does not come out, and the same happens with another table, it goes inactive.

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for emailing your file. It's a .xls format which is for Excel 2003. Excel 2003 doesn't have these tools, which is why you aren't able to access them on the ribbon. You should be creating files in .xlsx format.

If you save it in a .xlsx format, then close and reopen the file, you will have access to all of the tools.

Very kind for your answers, I did not think it could be that, the truth is that I stay calmer, knowing what you have told me, I appreciate it, if I have any other questions I will tell you, greetings.

I could not leave the post unfinished without showing that I have already put it because you have found it out for me.
