Hi all

I'm wondering if someone can help me out adding some info to this dashboard? I have used Mynda's interactive dashboard and tailored it to my data. I'm trying to add the resource numbers per day to the dashboard in the Gantt chart area to the right and have them total in the grand total row. The reource column in the data table shows the number per day. I want these to move automatically if any of the tasks are moved around to smooth the resource curve.

I have attached the file for reference.

I'd be grateful for any helpSmile

Thanks

James

Hi James,

I'm not sure what you mean by 'the Gantt chart area to the right' as there was no placeholder column in your file to indicate where exactly.

That said, you're best to add it as a value field in the PivotTable. You can do this by inserting a column between the PivotTable's last column (I) and the start of the Gantt chart in column J and then adding the field to the PivotTable. See file attached.

If you only want it to the far right of the Gantt chart, then you'd have to do this with a formula like SUMIFS.

Hope that points you in the right direction.

Mynda

Thanks Mynda

I've added the resource numbers into the activities manually as i want to show them. I would like it to be more automated and dynamic though, and for them to move if the start dates move so i can try and review resource requirements against what is available. Do you know if / how i can do this?

Hi James,

You can use this formula to put the resource value in the Gantt cells:

=IF(MEDIAN(K$17,$C18,$D18)=K$17,$J18,"")

You'll need to edit the weekend conditional formatting to include hiding numbers with this custom number format:

;;;
