I have designed a dashboard basic enough and have hidden sheets etc for users to only interact with the charts - on the dashboard though if you double click on the chart it opens the PivotChart Field box or offers in the Pivotchart Analyze to open the field list on the ribbon - is there anyway of locking this on the dashboard to stop users clicking on these buttons and changing the charts?

Hi Jacqui,
You can protect the sheet objects (charts, images etc.). By default all objects are locked, you just need to enable the protection on the sheet via the Review tab of the ribbon > Protect Sheet. Note: if you want users to be able to interact with Slicers etc., then you need to unprotect these objects before protecting the sheet and you need to select 'use PivotTable and PivotChart'.
More on sheet protection here.
