Excel Same Same but Different

Help! Do you use a non-US-English version of Excel?

If so, now is your chance to help out the wider Excel community with some feedback.

The Excel versions used around the world essentially have the same core but there are differences evident when used with languages other than its native US-English. Even changes to the Windows regional settings cafn have an impact.

These differences complicate the development of Excel applications, particularly when there is uncertainty about the end user’s regional and language settings.

How You Can Help

Kris, Roberto and Gabor of renowned Excel blog E90E50 have launched a project to collect and publish a list of regional settings used in different language Excel versions.

Click here to find out how you can help. I sent mine in for Australia. The whole process only took a few minutes.

Here’s a snap shot of the versions that are still missing. Is yours one of them?
