Hello,
I created an excel files with many queries and integrated them in a power pivot model.
Sometimes, when I did some changes, the power pivot Excel addin disappeared from the ribbon and I had to update the registry to set it up again.
In summary, I have to remove a field, because it won't be available anymore from the source.
This field is currently present in 3 places: my source file, my query and my data model.
I have to remove it from these 3 places and I assume that there is an order to respect, because till now whatever I tried, it always ended by making my power pivot disappeared from the ribbon.
If you have any idea, please let me know.
Warmly
Fred

Hi Fred,
You should remove it from your source and then refresh your query and close & load to Power Pivot. This should update everywhere. You may need to edit some steps in Power Query if they specifically reference that column e.g. change type etc.
As for the Power Pivot tab disappearing from the ribbon. From memory, this is a bug with a certain build of Excel. You could try updating Excel.
