when I try to get data text data file into powerquery, I notice that the column cointaining sale data has the wrong data type (ab).
I try to change the data type to currency and get errors lining from top to bottom of columns. I don't know how to fix this

Hi,
Without seeing the file, we cannot see what's the problem. You have to check if there are unprintable chars in your data. You can try the Clean and the Trim options from Transform tab, before changing the data type.

Hi Babacar,
I wonder if the column you're working with contains a dollar sign or similar currency symbol? If so, try replacing that with nothing and then change the data type.
