Excel with power query loading a named table from the workbook fails when file is opened via sharepoint

I have an excel file that has a table in it that is processed by a power query.

When I load the file in sharepoint and open it in sharepoint and try to refresh all connections, I get an error:

Hi Nicholas,

Welcome to our forum! Power Query cannot be refreshed online yet, sorry. You have to open the workbook in the desktop app and refresh there.
