hi Mynda, I have an excel file with 7 different sheets with the same format and tables which I consolidated into a single sheet using power query.
sometimes it shows me 'download failed' error when I add a new row into any of these 7 sheets and click refresh. then I saw the file I cant save. So I close the file, open again, and delete the previously added row, and click refresh and saw it worked. what is happening here?
if I open multiple excel file together and try work on 'power query' based file- is it the problem? Becasue in query I used 'Excel.CurrentWorkbook()' formula as in source.
please help.

Welcome to our forum. I'd say whatever you entered in that new row is causing an error which is preventing the updating of the query. Excel.CurrentWorkbook doesn't care if other files are opened, so that shouldn't be the issue.
Please start a new thread when posting, don't tag on to an existing thread and share your Excel file so we can reproduce the issue.
