Dear, not sure if I should ask the question in this section. I have a pivot table connected with a dataset in Power BI (analysis in excel). The column euro is text not value. How can I convert it to value? I tried with convert to , it didn't work see error message below. I tried to add formula (value) outside of the pivot table. I also get error for some rows. Can you please help out? Best is to have a solution that automatically changes, so no manual intervene every time when the data is refreshed.

Thanks!

You need to do this in the Power BI model. Ideally this should be done in Power Query where you set the data types.

Thank you Mynda for your help! The tricky part is that the dataset in power bi is connected with a direct sql query. I will have to contact IT to change this.

I was hoping it is possible to change it in the pivot table.
