Hi,
A normal pivot table has the "Data" option to rermove the items which have been deleted from the data source
so they are not visible in the filters
This option is greyed out in Power Pivot, is there another way to have the same result?
I found the tip about showing only items with values in the Slicers but that is not really what I am looking for
Thanks
Claudine
Hi Claudine,
Have you checked that the items are removed from both the fact table and the dimension tables? This should remove them from appearing in the Slicers.

Hi Mynda,
The values are gone in the slicers, that's OK.
But they remain in the filter of the pivot itself

They shouldn't be in the filters at all if they're not in the Power Pivot model. If you're able to share your Excel file with me I can take a look. You can email it to website at myonlinetraininghub.com

Hi,
sorry for my late response, it was not really such an issue
anyhow, I attached the file, and I think I know where the values are coming from
1. the query has a filter on 1 particular company - so the data itself does not contain other company codes then BCA
2. but there is a additional table which I use to map companies to a country and all the companies are still in that table

Ah, that'll explain it then. If they're in the model then they'll be in the Slicer.
