Hi,
I was inserting a pivot table based on below tables (relationship between them created) in Power Pivot Data Model,
Dimension-Table 1-City
Singapore | New York | London | Brazil
Dimension-Table 2-Department
Finance | Marketing | Operation | Technical Support
Real Data - Table 3
City | Department | Manager
Singapore | Finance | A
Singapore | Marketing | B
New York | Operation | C
London | Operation | D
Brazil | Finance | E
Brazil | Technical Support | E
When I create Slicer for City / Department / Manager, when I click on Manager E on Manager slicer, I do expect that another 2 slicers will only select Brazil and Finance, Technical Support automatically. However, in my testing, another 2 slicers still remain default settings - with all items selected..
How can I create relationship between Slicers ?
Hi Yan,
I suspect there is something wrong with your model structure; maybe the relationship directions or the fields used in the PivotTable and Slicers are coming from the wrong tables. See the workbook attached which shows the Slicers behaving as you'd expect.
