Can you import from an email message into Excel Power Pivot?

Each day I get an email with a simple two-column table.  (Column 1 = source, Column 2 = count of source events.)  I currently do a copy-paste into an Excel table and add a date column using fill-down.

Is there a way to import the data directly from the email table and add the date to each row automatically?  (Or would I be better off asking the provider to generate a ~.csv file?)

Hi Marilyn,

No, there's no way for Power Pivot to connect to your email.

Ideally you would get the user to save the data (in an Excel, CSV or Text file) in a folder that you have access to. Then you can use Power Query to get the file and load it into Power Pivot.
