I am trying to generate a calculation that will "count" the number of instances in a month whereby a serial number sent out in that month but not returned in that month is counted. A serial number sent out in a given month and returned in that same month would not be counted. The idea being that we can see over time the quantity of serial numbers that are "out". It would also be beneficial to see the quantity of serial numbers that were sent out in a given month and returned in that same month.
So in the example set attached, for the month of March 2018 the solution would return a count of "2" for serials sent out and returned in the same month and a count of "11" for serials sent out and not returned in the same month. Is there a formula I can use to generate this?
