I have two monitors with an Excel worksheet open on each. I'm comparing data with lots of rows and columns on each sheet. When I move from one sheet to the other, it would be helpful if I could highlight the cell I'm leaving, so that when I'm looking at the active sheet I can still see where I've come from.
Can this be done? Bear in mind, that I might have to move around the active sheet.
Kind regards,
TimC
Maybe it's an idea you color the cell before you leave that one?
And then after finishing the work remove the color from all colored cells.
And I understand this is work that has to be done manually? Because: you can let Excel work for you when you want to compare certain things!
Hi Tim
I would highly recommend that you follow Frans advice.
You can see my attachment that uses macro but the codes are quirky and not perfect.
If you have formatted your cells using colors then it will be even more difficult. My example try to prevent overriding the cell's original color.
My feeling is it may not be worth the while to use it.
Hope this helps.
