My plan is to produce a Form for Excel that I enter consultation findings that then populates an Excel Data Table.
- I am thinking to use a lookup table in Excel with the different test names, test findings and symptoms people may experience and quick check options in the form.
While Excel Forms are great they don't seem to produce the level of buttons/detail that I need so I am wanting to create something custom.
Just wondering re: what is best to do this - are userforms going to be phased out along with VBA? should I somehow use Office Scripts? Or should I use ActiveX?
Attachment: This shows the data table the form will populate.

Hi Dom,
First I think you should mention the version of Excel you're using for this.
The reason is that as of Office 365 many new funtions have been added that make life much easier, Some of the newer functions are also in Office 2021.
To keep it compatible with post 2007 versions then the use of these functions will not work.
As far as I know VBA will still be fine for a long time even though migration to office.js (java scripting) or office scripts is becomming more common to keep functionality in web versions.
A userform will alwyas work but I need some more info as to what you mean, if it's looking up already registered data and if not found add new data.
