Goodday, everyone!

I downloaded Mynda's free Personal Budget & Interactive Dashboard in Excel and have been trying to get the data to flow correctly through to the "Report" tab but I'm doing something wrong.

I've been going through the tabs, starting with the "Categories" tab, then the "Budget" and have now completed entering all my own transactions for the month of January'24 in the "Transactions" tab. But when I refresh the data in the "Reports" tab the charts look all wrong.

Is it because I've skipped the "Power Query Editor" section?

If anyone's able to help it would be much appreciated as I continue on my quest to learn this impressive program!
Best,
Jack

How strange, I thought I had!

Apologies, and thanks for responding Catalin!

I think I've now attached. Has it come through?

Hi Jack,

I don't think there is anything wrong in the charts, what you think is wrong?

What I see in the charts reflects the data you have in other sheets. There is no income budget for january for example, Budget cell D4.

I had a look at your file as well and noticed that both slicers in the Analysis tab were set to display both Income and Expense. Around 13:30 in the video accompanying the template, Mynda explains that you need to select only Expense in the first one. Later on you'll need to select only Income for the second slicer.

Do that and your charts will look just right.
