So I have data collected from a heating and cooling system but the data is taken at different times.

All data is temperature, entering air temp, room temp, and exiting air temp.

I'd like to have excel us the correct time for each data point so I can graph them on the same line chart.

It would also be nice to be able to plot the room humidity with a second Y axis on the right side for humidity.

Being able to see these all relative to each other will be a great help.

I've tried PivotCharts but I believe the date and time of the samples is throwing me off.

maybe if this could be combined into one cell?

currently I am stuck just looking at the graphs independently.

Hi Jim,

Welcome to our forum! Would you kindly put the data from the 4 CSV files into one Excel spreadsheet (on separate sheets is fine) and then upload it here. This will help us answer your question more quickly as we don't have to spend time gathering the disparate data.

Thanks,

Mynda

Hi Mynda

I've uploaded the information all in one file.

The controls system I'm working with only saves about 100 data points per sensor so it's not a lot of data.

Hi Jim,

Thanks, but that file only contained one data set because you saved it as a CSV file and they can only contain one sheet. It needed to be saved as a .xslx file. Not to worry. I used Power Query to get the data from the 4 CSV files and consolidated them into one sheet. In the attached file you'll see your line chart.

Note: I don't recommend plotting the humidity on the secondary axis as this by default will use a different scale and it will only make the data harder to interpret.

Hope that helps.

Mynda
