Hi,
I am having some trouble with conditional formatting. The formatting I am applying is only working in some cells and not others. As far as I can tell these cells are identical and so is the formatting but for some reason these formatting isn't working. Searching on google hasn't provided anything concrete.
I have attached the workbook for your reference.
i am using version 2404 of excel on PC.
Details of my issue:
- cells P12, 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 must equal cells I5 - N5 respectively.
- I have conditional formatting to change the cells in Column P to green if the above is true.
- However this only works for cells P12, 16 and 20
- The same formatting is in cell P24, 28 and 32 but the formatting isn't successful
- I am having the exact same issue in column AB with cells in the same rows as for P
- The cells in AB12, 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 must equal cells U5 - Z5 respectively.
- These cells in columns P and AB only contain SUM formulas so I cannot figure out why the conditional formatting isnt working.
- I need it to work in all the cells.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Liam

Hi Liam,
Thanks for sharing your file. If you add decimal places to the number formats in row 5, you will see that M4, M5 and M6 all contain values here, whereas the values in column P do not.
The values in row 5 need to be rounded to zero decimal places which you can do with the ROUND function:
=ROUND(K5*1.2,0)
However, as some of the numbers will round up or down, they may still not match the values in column P, so you will need to fix those values too.
