Hi,
In the attached file I have Conditional Formatting in every column.
Each column values should be colored red if any of the values differ from any other.
The problem: sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
The only column that works perfectly is column I (Reg Hours). The Conditional Formatting in this column is seperate to each cell, and I wander if this is the only way it should work.
Thanks,
Ayal Telem.
I've played around with your file a bit and came up with two possible CF rules that can be applied to the entire range in one go. The one I personally like best, I've entered into the CF section and it works as expected. The other one would require a lot more work in case you have more than just 3 rows to compare. Both rules were tested in ranges with TRUE and FALSE in the grid first. I left them in so that you see how and why they work.
Dear Riny,
It works wonderfully - thanks a million.
Now, I need to understand why your works and mine doesn't.

Ayal Telem.
Well, that's why I left my test formulas in the sheet. In the attached file I've added your original formula in the B21 and dragged it across and down. Then you can see exactly how CF works with the formula and notice that on the 2nd and 3rd row, the formulas are no longer looking at all three data rows. The fact that it sometimes 'works' is just a coincidence.
