Hi there,
I'm having issues with slicers losing their custom list sorting when the file is shared or opened on a different computer. It sometimes (but not always) reverts to alphabetical sorting. I tried to number the items to sort in ascending, but Excel places 10 after 1. Any tips on how to make sure that when users receive the dashboard, the items are sorted correctly? Or perhaps an alternative?
Thanks kindly, Jessica
Hi Jessica,
Custom list sorting requires every PC to have the custom list installed.
If you use Power Pivot then you can specify a sort order based on another numeric column, but using Power Pivot requires every user to also have Power Pivot and preferably the same version of Excel.

Thanks Mynda! I had a suspicion that was the case, I'll see if I can find a workaround.
