Good morning

The column series on my dashboard in not interacting with the legned colour when I use the slicer.  For example, when I select a Project, they all revert to blue for all four Projects rather than indicate the correct colour per Project as shown in the legend.

When I select Project 2 - it turns to blue when I would have liked orange.

I have attached the workbook.

Thanks, Sam

Hi Samantha

You can try this.

1) Select the column chart one by one

2) Drop the Project Name field to the Column Header

3) Unfilter the Project

4) Format each series with the required color.

This should resolve the problem (except the Number Of Incidents Per Month chart)

Pivot Charts are very buggy and formatting some times don't work as expected.

Hope this helps.

Hi Sunny

Thank you so much.  Yes I managed to get the problem 3/4 sorted, I saved and shut down my computer, logged back in later and all was perfect.......bugs!!!!

Can I ask why the problem could not be resolved for the Number of Incidents per Month chart?

Thanks, Sam

Hi Samantha

How I wished I knew the answer Laugh

At this moment I really have no idea.  I am only guessing it could be due to the grouping of the date.

It could also be due to the PT bugs. If I have an answer I will definitely let you know.

Hi Samantha

I can only suggest you create a normal column chart instead of a PT chart for the last chart.

It is not elegant nor flexible but should work if you display 12 months of data.

The columns are rather narrow. If you want to only display Jan-June (for example) you can hide the rows not required and the chart will hide them.

Hope this helps a little.

Hi Samantha,

Try setting the colours to those not from the top row of the palette i.e. choose colours different to the those shown in the PivotChart Tools: Design Tab > Change Colours list.

I found if you don't choose from the top row of colours that they stick.
