Can't create a chart

Hi,

I have a table (extracted from power query) where I created two pivot.
From these pivot I would like to create a chart, but it's not possible. I get an empty chart.
Even if I create these pivot from "Data Model" I have the same result.

Why? What's wrong with this data/table?

I tried to copy the pivot with only value, and then I'm able to create a chart. Change "Select Data" from one table to the real one.
But I get lots of blank columns when I use the slice. I can't really use this method.

Which is the best way to create this chart for my pivot data?

I attach the Excel file.

Thanks
Riccardo

Hi Ricardo,

That's because you incorrectly constructed the pivot table. The Activities, hours and Percentages need to go to the value area of the pivot table. And I suggest you put the Department in the Filter area. You put them all Row field. Then you can't do any summarizations. See attached file where I inserted a chart based on a proper pivot table.

Hi Riny,
thanks for your explanation whick is very clear!

I thought that putting Activities, Hours and Percentages in the Value, all the numbers would have been summarized.
But that's not the case and so it working perfectly.

Thanks for your help
Ciao
