I do encounter a problem when using the invert if negative functionality in Excel 2013 Charts. I have a pivot chart where I have inverted the colors and set them to be red if values are negative.
This works fine. But when I re-open my workbook (saved when closed) the inverted colors (red) are gone and the color is set back to default white. Any help to get this issue solved is very much appreciated.

Hi Erwin,
Pivot Charts have a bug where formatting is lost upon refresh. I suspect this is the culprit.
The workaround is to create a regular chart from the PivotTable as opposed to a Pivot Chart.

I had the same problem. I did not want to move away from Pivot Chart, the Gradient Fill method discussed at https://peltiertech.com/invert.....xcel-2007/ has actually worked for me.
cheers
