Hello
It's my first post but I'm an avid watcher of the YouTube videos, and I hope someone can help me.
I set up a dashboard in December which contained a number of slicers that were utilising the 'Disable resizing and moving' functionality, and that was working well.
One of the slicers now has an extra category and I need to resize it to accommodate this, however, in the Format Slicer window I now don't have access to the 'disable resizing and moving' check box - it's disappeared.
Even creating a new, very simple pivot and inserting a slicer doesn't give me the option to 'disable resizing and moving' (see screenshot). Where has it gone? I've looked in every available menu option and Googled, but can't find any information on this. Even my partner, who works for another company doesn't have this feature in Excel either.
I'm using Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, version 2008 (Build 13127.21348). Since I created the dashboard we have had a Windows 10 upgrade in the last few weeks so I'm wondering whether this has anything to do with it?
I now have a dashboard where I can't filter on certain categories because I can't edit it! Help!
Thanks
Hi Helen,
Welcome to our forum!
The Disable resizing and moving setting is under the 'Position and Layout' settings. i.e. the first section of the Format Slicer pane that you don't have expanded in that screenshot.
Hope that helps.
Mynda
Thanks Mynda, I feel so dumb for not realising that was a separate menu option!
Helen
To be fair to you, it doesn't really make sense that's it's separate from the other properties settings.
