Help I have a dilemma with an excel dashboard chart.
Attached is an image with my dummy data & options I have been looking at. The data has Category & sub categories with spend data against it. Originally I used a Treemap with Slicers. It did a great job, as there are very small values against large values & the slicers helped to drill down to see the smaller values where required. Treemaps were not to my stakeholders liking as they also want to use statically. They want to see the data the same way but in bar charts.
I searched & thought Clustered Bar charts would work, but everything I read it seemed my data didn’t work. From your course, I thought bringing individual bar charts together & just using formating (in the attached it is sans labels or formatting) to show categories as in the first example. The 2nd being the standard bar chart, which is not to their liking either.
I think perhaps I will just do totals for each cateogry in one chart with individual break down into subcategory in separate chats for now, unless anyone there is any suggestions?
Great course by the way. Work & life is a bit hectic at the momen, so I am jumping all of the different sections in the course when I have time & almost using it instantaneouly. It is completely wonderful knowing that I have a year to do it in it’s entirity. Thank you Mynda for such clear & concise course.

Hi Bree,
Thanks for your kind words! It's great to know you're enjoying the course and even better that you're putting the techniques to work.
I wonder if a layered bar chart would be more to their liking. See example in this post: https://www.myonlinetraininghu.....cel-charts
