Hi Vic
I have viewed the video numerous times but still unable to spot the cause.
My first impression was it could be caused by grouping of the sheets.
I did notice that you did not use a mouse but using the keyboard. Maybe some key combination is causing a problem?
Although the text "disappeared" from the screen, if you select the cell again can you see the text in the formula bar?
I thought I saw it on the formula bar.
The problem also did not occur when all the sheets are displayed. This could also be an indicator.
It may also be a technical issue (bug?) which I am unable to assist.
I can't replicate the issue no matter how hard I tried.
I am using Excel 2010 and my file is stored in a local drive.
Maybe some other members can help.
Sorry.

Hi Vic,
I tested Sunny's File; Vic-hid-sheets.xlsm in Excel Office 365 and can't reproduce the problems shown in your video. I wonder if it's some obscure region settings causing the bugs.
It certainly looks buggy, because (as Sunny pointed out) after you enter text in the cell and press Enter, which moves the active cell down one, the text is still visible in the formula bar.

Hi Vic,
I can't reproduce your problem either. Given that 4 of us with different PC's and versions of Excel can't reproduce your problem it looks like either an issue with your setup, or a bug that is so obscure we can't easily recreate it. You have said that you've tried Excel 2013 and 2016 and on different PC's so I'm stumped.
I'm using 32-bit Excel 2013 (15.0.5093.1000).
Exactly what versions did you test with? 32 or 64 bit?
What add-ins have you got installed?
Although you said you uninstalled/reinstalled excel that's not the same as doing a clean install on a new PC. An uninstall can leave behind a lot of files that affect what you think is a clean reinstall.
You'd be best off installing Excel onto a PC that has never had it on before, without any add-ins, and testing that. Can you describe your environment? Are you in a corporate environment with servers/domains? Any security/restrictions on the PC's?
I've tweaked a couple of bits of the code in the blank template that Sunny provided, please see if this helps.
Regards
Phil

Hello everyone,
Thanks for the concern as always. much grateful.
Sunny, to answer your questions,
1. The sheets are not grouped
2. I actually used mouse for the insertion of columns which did not work.
3. The problem did not occur when all the sheets are displayed because I was logged in as an admin and like I said before, the problem is only with user1 and user2. Admin users do not have the problem.
Hello Mynda, yes, the texts are still visible in the formula bar here. I wonder why.
Phil,
I completely uninstalled office 2013. deleted all folders associated with it before installing office 2016 (64-Bits). I do not also have any add-ins installed.
As per the security, though this is going to be used by different users in the later days and would require the use of a server. But that is not happening now as I am currently working on my laptop (Personal Laptop) and not the company's official system. So to answer your question, there are not restriction of any kind.
I have also gone through your file Phil. Sadly, the problem is still there and I am beginning to think there is a bug issue.
However, I did try something though which is just one extra work anyway but i am fine with it as long as it works. I created another line of code (UnprotectAllSheet) and I gave a shortcut of Shift+Ctr+U. This is developed only for User1 & User2. This code prompts the users to enter their login password to unprotect the sheet even though the sheets were not protected apart from the visibility. Its funny though but surprisingly, it works.
Once User1 or User2 logs in, they just press the shortcut and they enter the password and they are good to go. So on the first row of the SRRV and SIV sheet, I wrote a comment for the user to do this. I will keep trying to see if I can work my way around the disappearing sheet anyway but for now, I am okay with what I have been able to come up with.
Once again, I am super super grateful for everyone who contributed to this. you are all loved. I joined this forum just recently and it has been so so active and i have received help from different people. I still have more to share with you guys soonest.
Thanks all
Vic.

Hi Vic,
I don't have any issues adding data to that workbook or adding/deleting columns.
The issue seems to be specific to whatever setup you have at your end so I'm not sure what else we can do for you.
As the sheets are not protected I don't see how your UnprotectAll macro affects things, and makes it work for you. If unprotecting the sheets makes it work for some reason, that implies that they are somehow protected.

Thanks Phil.
It is however surprising to me too but since it is working now with the little macro, then it is okay with me. The funny thing is, I can use any macro and it will work fine even if i didnt use the UnprotectAll macro. Just any macro.
Thanks again for the help. I appreciate everybody's contribution.

Hello Sunny,
Hope you have been good?
I have been able to work my way around the disappearing text and everything seems okay now. It turns out that there is a problem with the Anti virus been used across the network. Additionally, I started the file from scratch and i do not have the problem again. Thanks so much and everybody who have contributed.
Meanwhile, I have developed another file (Attached). In this case, I want the sheets "Dashboard" and "Daily Summary" to be visible along side "Main" by default. They should be visible the same way the "Main" sheet is - So no need to log in with a credential to view them.
Also, I have given user1 multiple sheet to have access to but only two sheets out of the many sheets assigned to user1 is getting displayed.
login is: Admin Password is: 111 This will give you full right. You can type the credential as it is not coming in the drop-down.
Thanks so much
