Hello
I hope you can help with the following problem.
I have 2 excel tables where information in Columns A B and C in each of them is the same but in different order. Columns B in Table 2 and Column C in Table 3 are variable depending on the input in cell K1 on Table 2. Cell K1 can vary between the numbers 12 to 31. Columns A and C in Table 2 are fixed as are Columns A and C in Table 3. Please help with a formula to automatically update Column C in Table 3 without using so many "IF" nesting. I had thought that INDEX and MATCH might solve the problem but cannot work it out . Thank you.

Hi Christopher,
That should be done more easier with a macro, written according to a clear set of conditions. There may be a formula solution, but that formula should follow some rules, which are not clear from that file. Table 3 has lots of different formulas in the same column C, it's hard to follow the meaning of them.
You have to prepare more detailed instructions and rules, I am not familiar with those boards you need and what should happen if M1 is not 12 and it's a different number.
